The selection process is competitive; prospective applicants must complete a detailed application form to provide a statement of programme plan, milestones and deliverables. Proposals are encouraged under three broad themes (although innovative proposals that fall outside of these themes will also be considered):
A selection panel comprising senior CETL staff and a Wolfson College Fellow will assess the applications and select the Fellows for each term; selections will be made and notified as far as possible a year ahead (except for the first full year of the scheme where notice will necessarily be shorter, but should still be at least six months) please consult the timetable. In addition to the quality of the proposal criteria for selection will be: the intellectual, professional and personal qualities of the applicant; your ability to act as a catalyst for change and capacity-building in e-learning; your potential to impact positively beyond your institution at a national/international level; your willingness to play a pro-active part in and be a champion for an international community of e-learning excellence. All applicants must be fluent in both spoken and written English.
Prospective Fellows must also provide two detailed references to support their application as well as evidence of sponsorship to cover the full programme costs; this would normally require confirmation from your institution's Head of Finance (or equivalent). An example letter is included below. If your application is successful and you are offered a Fellowship, we will then request the full payment which must be made in advance of the date the Fellowship commences.
Only applications received in the correct formats using the official documentation and by the due date will be considered. Please make sure that ALL requested information is provided. On no account will CV's alone be considered.
